PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
Mr. Nance is the author of the critically acclaimed mindfulness books, Mindful Arts in the Classroom, Puppy Mind*, The Lion in Me, & The Barefoot King. He has been a Theater Arts and Mindful Arts Educator since 1991, having taught mindfulness to hundreds of San Francisco Unified School District youth as well as adults. He is a thorough Mindfulness Facilitator certified to teach at all levels, adept at motivating students and adults in finding present moment awareness through the development of engaging arts-based lesson plans that help improve students’ self-regulation, listening skills, and Social Emotional Learning. He has the ability to work with teachers and students to find solutions that fit the individual child. He specializes in elementary school-aged development.
